#10 Associação Portuguesa de Desportos

I don't know why I like this badge/I'm tired and can't be arsed to find a better one. Does exactly what it says on the tin. The team's called Portuguesa and the badge looks like a bit of the Portuguese flag. Pop, bang, lovely, we're done.

Honours:

Campeonato Paulista - 2
1935, 1936, 1973.

Torneio Rio-São Paulo - 2
1952, 1955.

Campeonato Paulista Série A2 - 1

#7 Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas

Ignoring the badge for a second... Botafogo's nicknames are Fogão, Estrela Solitária and O Glorioso. That's the Great Fire, the Lone Star or the Glorious One to you and me. Mega. This has been Botafogo's crest since 1942 but the lone star has been featured on the rowing club's badge since 1894, whilst the shape of the shield comes from the Botafogo Football Club's badge which was pretty good too but not as awesome as this. It's is just a black and white shield with a star on it but my word have they pulled it off. It could have been amateurish, it could have been dull but no, it's noble, classy and striking.

Honours:

Campeonato Brasileiro Série A - 2
1968, 1995.

Copa CONMEBOL - 1
1993.

#2 Sport Club do Recife

Sport Club do Recife were founded in 1905 by Náutico players, who disagreed with the club's racist policy of excluding black players. In terms of the club crest, Recife boast two shields which is always a winner and a massive gold lion on a background of red and black which apparently "represents the fighting spirit and the determination of the club's supporters". Another great South American football badge.

Honours:

Campeonato Brasileiro Série A - 1
1987.
Copa do Brasil - 1
2008.
Campeonato Brasileiro Série B - 1
1990.

Copa/Campeonato do Nordeste - 2
